MedixUVNC

MedixUVNC is a small application that runs in the taskbar of your system which gives Medix personnel the ability to remotely connect directly to your computer to view any problems that you may be experiencing.

Please contact a Medix support specialist with will provide you with a case number required for MedixUVNC.

In order for a Medix technician to connect to your system to view the exact problem, you need to run MedixUVNC. The application can be downloaded by clicking the button below.

How to Use

The following instructions are for Internet Explorer users. Other browsers (Firefox, Opera, Netscape, etc) will display windows with similar questions, however their look any layout will be different.

 

Internet Explorer

You will see a window prompting you if you want to save or run this file. Click on Run.

The next window will warn you that the publisher could not be verified and ask you to confirm that you want to run this executable. Click on Run.

Security Warning

 

MedixUVNC will lauch at this point and prompt you for the case number (ID code) provided by the support specialist. Enter it in the appropriate box and click OK. MedixUVNC will then connect to our secure server to allow the support specialist to connect remotely to your PC.

You will see the MedixUVNC icon appear in the task bar (the icon tray) indicating that it is establishing a connection, and then that a connection has been established. This confirms that a secure connection has been created to Medix's secure server.

When the support specialist connects to your computer, the icon in the taskbar inactive icon will invert to show that there is an active connection active icon.

 

If you want to force the technician to disconnect, right click on the icon and select close.
